So it’s been 11 years as a portable church in Destin. I’m sure that many Shoreliners have felt like us and started to wonder, “Is this going to be forever?” We’ve watched our FWB campus thrive as a video venue and for a church our size overall, they celebrate each Sunday with a pretty impressive crowd and flourishing relationships. And for our Destin campus, we’ve watched our teams of volunteers set up and tear down approximately 600 times with heart and soul and expectation for a future home.
It’s been pretty tempting to wonder where, how and when this will happen! We’ve had a verse that has defined much of our lives and fuels our adventurous, pioneering, expectant souls and suddenly, at the beginning of March 2016, right after Shoreline’s 11 year old birthday that preceded the beginning of a church-wide 21 Days of Fasting and Prayer, this verse burst through the doors like a surprise party!
And there it was, the iconic Nightown of Destin closed it’s doors after 38 years and who better to keep the party going than Shoreline! Our home was there all along. We no longer have to keep going over the history of wondering when our dreams will be realized. And it might be a good thing to not go over the old history of what has happened at Nightown, either, right! If those walls could talk… 😃
The new story for Nightown and Shoreline is yet to be told, the next chapter is yet to be written. God wants to do something brand new for us and brand new in that location. The way it’s going to impact people and our community is going to be something to celebrate, we promise!
The coolest thing about this opportunity is the people we get to throw down with - the men, women and families who call Shoreline home, because they are our favorite people on the planet. Whether you’ve been with us for years in any of our locations, or you’re brand new, we want to invite you to be a part of God’s great plan to make all things new as Nightown transforms and becomes a place where people collide with God’s awesome purpose for their lives.
Make sure to keep checking back here to keep up with the developing details of our current building project and you’ll get a better picture of what our church might actually look and feel like! We have a ton of exciting work ahead of us, and we want to invite you to get involved at Shoreline on a deeper level! Dream about what God will do through us in the next 10 years. We'll get to talk about all of the possibilities that might come our way! In the coming years, we’re doing more than constructing buildings – we’re creating environments that change people’s perception of God while changing their perception of church–and our plan is to continue to provide Shoreline venues every 20 minutes across the Emerald Coast.
Check out some of our #IAmShoreline stories (coming soon) to learn more about all of the amazing things that God has done in our community in our short history.
Nightown may be closed, but the party continues with Shoreline Church! So get your groove on with us! We couldn’t wait to get the word out about the celebration and our hope is that as you pray, give, serve and keep up with us during the process, you’ll be as excited and expectant as we are for the adventure before us!

In phase one, we are challenging you to dream big. Consider the dreams you have for future generations, for our local community, for authentic, flourishing relationships, and for the future of Shoreline. We know that God is capable of moving in big ways, and we are staying expectant in this season of growth for Shoreline.
Our financial goal with phase one is to raise the finances needed to close on the building and complete necessary structural renovations. To accomplish this, we have a goal of raising $300,000 by July 22nd.
Help us to dream big for Shoreline! Besides providing Destin with a permanent home, we will be living out our church mission to create irresistible environments that change people’s perception of God by changing their perception of church. With an eternal perspective, we challenge you to dream about the possibilities for our new Destin campus and invite you to invest in something tangible. We are honored to share in your God-sized dreams and to help each of you reach your potential as leaders and visionaries in this exciting new phase for Shoreline.
Keep the party going by pledging an offering to contribute towards All Things New - Destin Building Project. Our generosity as a community will impact and influence future generations, so let's dream big for Shoreline and reach our goal of raising $300,000 by July 22nd.
Legacy givers - This is for those of you who are at a point in your life where you realize God has blessed you and you realize this life is about leaving a legacy to impact the next generation for eternity. We believe this is a good investment for you and that a gift of this level is crucial for us to reawaken the desire for God in our community and restore the church to front and center relevance in people’s everyday lives.
Key Givers – When you combine your giving at this level with other Key Givers, we can do big things, bigger than we could accomplish alone. That is the power of unity. It is this level of unity that will allow us to accomplish what God has called us to as a church, uniting us in a God-honoring way as one body.
Core Givers – Maybe because of personal circumstances, you're not able to give what you would like to give. Maybe you're on a fixed income and so your extra income is limited. Jesus said it was not about the amount given but about the heart. At this level, because of personal sacrifice, (like giving up a soda or coffee a day) you can have skin in the game and be a part of building a life-giving church. That way, you can help provide for someone else, what Shoreline has done for you.
